Oh the beautiful ones, that enshroud my world
How blessed on earth I am to have your company
I look at you in the morning to breathe in inspiration
I hang around you during the day to cool me down
On busy streets, it is only you I gaze at
Not the restless eyes of humans
You let me take refuge in you
And expect nothing in return
Oh the enlightened ones, who bring peace into my world
How blessed on earth I am to have your company
You give me food shelter and happiness
Yet you look for nothing in return
I give you my human love with the heartiest feelings
And I embrace you as I would make love to you
Yet, oh the beautiful ones,
Is it because you are enlightened
That you don’t kiss me back
So that I could go on living?
